Manic Monday!!

My seventh LookBook post! Yay! :D

I can't believe it. I just realized that I am wearing all Japanese goods. :D

Details:

Button Down by AnQuiet.
This pinstripe, turtle neck, 3/4 sleeved with oversized garter flap
on the waist is one of my favorite shirts I have.
The detailing is just unique and I love the fact that the stripes is vertical. Again, it creates an illusion that I'm thinner. LOL
I bought this shirt in a second-shop (Ukay2x) for a dollar.
That's a pure bargain and money saving purchase for me. LOL
I've had this shirt close to three years already and
I've worn it on several occasions in different ways. :D

Distress denim shorts:
Another Ukay2x find. This is prolly one of the best bargains I've had. I love wearing this shorts coz' the detail with this one is just amazing. I can pair this to everything I have in my closet. Basic tee, button downs, dressy shirts and everything imaginable. This too is a Japanese brand.

Shoes by Haruta:
Haruta is a Japanese brand of shoes that makes the same style of shoes over and over again with an unmatched quality and durability.
I have a pair like these when I was in my elementary years.
Back then, I never appreciated the style coz' all I ever wanted to wear were Nike's. Reasons: playing/running. LOL
Now that I'm older and able to appreciate the beauty and why one has to sacrifice comfort for aesthetic reasons.
This was bought in one of the local bazaars here and was so happy to buy a pair of my size.
*HEAVEN*

Laptop sleeves by FashionMonster:
This is a custom made, faux zebra print gadget holder. This brand (owned by my BFF freaks) creates lots of fun designs that are both functional and trendy. Always updated when it comes to the latest trends. This particular laptop sleeve is padded with thick cushion that it protects your gadget very well.
Love it!
Visit their site for more styles!

Same Geeky Skull Wayferers and 21Men Fedora. Weeee!
The shot that didn't make it to LookBook...
That's my Manic Monday post in LookBook.nu.
It was a fun Monday workday for me lastweek at TBY Gen Enterprise
with my bff, Yen a.k.a. Nita who takes most of my photos in my
LookBook page. Again, thank you besss! Love it!

I am so happy I'm getting lots of *HYPES* Weeee! Love it guys.

xoxo,
Noeh

P.S.
Here  is the music video of The Bangles with their song, "Manic Monday!" Love this song toooo. Makes you wanna dance... Have fun!!

The STREET is my RUNWAY. . .

Yay! My sixth LookBook post! :D

This is all about casual but camera/paparazzi ready look. I'm sure y'all thinking the same thing too. LOL

Details:

Striped tee: Rebuplic Basic Tee.
Bought this in Malaysia on a "buy one take one" scheme. LOL Again, my bestfriend Sash and I bought the shirt. I think we paid 25 rupees for the shirts. Cheap uh?! LOL Love it! It was a struggle between navy blue and combat green combo and then I had to go with my instincts. WHITE/RED it is!
Jacket from People are People.
This is the first time I wore this jacket. Bought this two years ago on an impulse coz' I had lots of moolahs back then. LOL I think the combination of the shirt and the jacket is flawless. LOL Right?!

Shorts: Tag Jeans - DIY:
Again, I love buying pieces of clothing that has a nice texture
and nice detail on it. I specially love the stitching of this pair
and the back pockets too. Although I have them altered to a smaller size (yup, I'm thin! LOL), but I specifically told my tailor to maintain the stitching
(In which she copied the original pattern) and I love her so much coz'
she did it flawlessly. Problem now is I've gained a little weight
and a it's kinda tight fit right now.
Note to self: LOSE WEIGHT BABY! LOL

Shoes: Chucks.
My uber favorite white converse. Why? Because it's classic, trendy and again, one can never go wrong with a pair of Chuck Taylor sneakers.
Bag: Guesss.
These are not man-bag. I just used this for the shoot.
This are my friend's bag. The one who took my photo.
I just used this coz' it goes well with my jacket.

Glasses:
My favortire, Geeky Skull Wayferer.
Weeeeee! Always makes my face smaller. LOL
That's why I use them all the time. LOL

As I always tell my friends,
one should always be ready for anything on your way.
Especially if there's a paparazzi snapping a photo of you
while you do your day-to-day life.  LOL
I mean, make every moment in your life an opportunity for fashion.
To always look good despite stressful workday
or having a crazy relationship with your partner.
Never let anyone or any circumstance ruin your sense of fashion and style. Right? LOL
(If you can just see me what I'm wearing while writing this blog! Yikes! LOL) LOL

So this is my RUNWAY for REAL!

xoxo,
Noeh

P.S.
I took off the jacket post photo shoot. LOL

------------------------------------------------
Here's the song I've played on repeat while making this post.
I just love everything Gwen Stefani.
She's my favorite Hollywood mom, artist, performer and FASHIONISTA.
Always an inspiration to the kind of ensemble I put on all the time.
Here's her What You Waiting For? video. Enjoy!

Yellow!!!!

Weeeeeee! My fifth LookBook post, Color Block the Rain!!

All my life, YELLOW has always been a favorite color of mine. I think it has to do with the fact that it's really bright and it's brightness just brings out the beauty in me. LOL (I know you completely disagree. DUH?! LOL)

Lately, it has been raining all day everyday in this side of the world. I personally don't hate it when it rains. Some people do. But not me. I love the idea when it rains coz' it's much colder and you can layer your clothes. Not to mention, bring with you the brightest/funkiest-colored umbrella. Also, gives you another excuse not to go to work or be late going to work. Or when you don't like your date, you can rain-check. LOL

I think the contrast between a gloomy weather and bright colored outfits plainly speaks FABULOSITY! LOL I mean, you try to dress in a perky mood despite sad weather. Right? LOL

taken by my boss/bessss, Nita a.k.a., Yen2x..
with my alter ego -- THE JUMPING NOEH! LOL
These photos were taken using my Iphone4. Funny coz' I always bring with me (on a daily basis) my DSLR camera and for some funny reason, I forgot to have it with me on this particular working day/photoshoot! LOL Okay.

Here's the way we take my photos. Once we're not busy with work, like 3pm-5pm everyday, we then head out and just click away. On the street outside the office, sidewalks, other buildings, abandoned buildings (this post was taken beside our building) and etc. Our shoots would take like 15-40minutes max. It would look like we did the shot forever. Right? No!! We're like that gorgeous! We take photos BEAUTIFULLY! LOL

DETAILS: Cardigan by BENCH. Shorts by American Eagle Outfitters. Sneakers by Happy Feet. Umbrella by United Colors of Benetton.

That's it for now!

xoxo,
Noeh

P.S.
Coz this is everything about YELLOW, I also love this Coldplay song entitled--YELLOW!!! Enjoy!

My Secret Garden. . .

This is one of my favorite posts in my LookBook. Why? Because, as you can see in the photos. It just speaks casual chic meets fabulosity. LOL. (Smacks
head for trying to convince everyone it's fabulous when in fact it's not! LOL)

For almost two years now, I've been wearing shorts a lot. I know I'm not gifted with supermodel-FAB/Sports-Illustrated legs (okay, I am!), I don't care coz' wearing shorts is just so relaxed and comfy. I can't remember the last time I wore jeans. And if possible, I don't like wearing jeans coz' it's just too covered, dated and too much trouble if you know. (Emergency #2) LOL

My Secret Garden. . .
Details. . . .

Pinstripes with embroidery detail - This was just a hand me down top by my good friend. Although this was not hers, she still gave it to me. LOL Reason for giving; it was her exes shirt and she found no use to it so she handed me some of her exes shirt to moi. Lucky me!! LOL This is sort of an interesting shirt to begin with. (I'm not talking about the history!) A classic pinstripes (of diff colors) pattern with an embroidery detail which give the shirt a contemporary finished that suits my taste. LOL I think the embroidery sort of made it gay and so me. LOL Don't know what brand of this shirt. Been PM-ing my friend but I've got no reply. LOL

Shorts by Banana Republic - Khakis are so in this season. Well atleast that's what I think. I've had this pair since February and I had it altered coz' it did not flatter my full/fatty/short legs. (There you go! Happy?! LOL) I had them cut three inches above my knee and viola, a very fun and flirty khakis. LOL

BAG/Shoes/Eyewear - I'm carrying the same bag, wore that same shoes and same geeky skull wayferers. LOL Not much about it coz' I currently can't afford new pairs of shoes. LOL A new handbag and accesories. LOL

Trying to make a call... LOL Well at least I tried. LOL

All photos taken by Yen2x a.k.a. Nita.. Weeee! Thanks bessss...

-----------------------------------------------------------
I think you've all noticed I've used Mariah's lyrics in this particular LookBook post. I just love nature/garden/ and being surrounded with greens and flowers and whenever I'm with nature, the song that plays in my head is Mariah's  Carey Underneath The Stars. So gay right?!

I mean, I guess all of us has our own soundtrack to every little detail that is happening or have happened or will happen and so on. LOL Because we are born musically gifted (LOL) or just plain lunatic. LOL

So here's a YouTube video of  Mariah Carey's "Underneath The Stars." Have fun!

xoxo,
Noeh

P.S.
Thank you Yen2x a.k.a. Nita for taking my photos. Love the effort bes! :D

New York On My Mind

Weeeee! my 3rd LOOKBOOK post! :D

All Ukay-Ukay except for the shirt, shoes, Iphone, cardigan, undies and myself. :D LOL
Have I mentioned I love to Ukay-Ukay (second hand shops/flea market/vintage stores)? Besides that it's cheap, the chances of having the same person wearing the same thing you're having is so slim or even ZERO! And it's also chic, one of a kind find/steal/bargain that people don't actually believe you when you tell them it's Ukay-Ukay. LOL (and now people will tell me, "OMG. Don't tell me you're wearing UK again?!" LOL YIKES!!!)

Details on my outfit.

I Heart NY Shirt: Given to me by my Australian sponsor, Meng. She bought this shirt when she visited NYC for a seminar last December of 2010. I never thought the moment she handed me this shirt that I would love it. Because, I'm not much of a white-shirt-kinda-gay nowadays considering I'm a litte fatty at the moment. LOL But I was surprised when I mixed/matched and created sort of a classic blend with this piece. T'was sort of a fun ensemble for me. Love it! Okay, I'm kinda FAT and I'm very much aware of that. So to create an illusion that I'm a bit slimmer. I wore my CARDIGAN sort of a cape and just let hang the sleeves, did not tie it like most people would do. So that cuts/covers/trims my huuuuuge fame. LOL Lurve it! :D
Photo taken by Yen2x. Location: TBY Gen. Ent Office,  Gen Sales St. Davao City.
Sneaker by Converse: When you're not sure of what shoes to wear. Then wear your Chuck Taylors! Classic and timeless. You'll never go wrong with it. I wore this pair on my bestfriend's wedding years ago after the ceremony, it made a statement. I mean, come on. To break the monotony, gotta have to spice up an ensemble. Add some fun pieces to it. Fashion need not to follow rules what the ceremony/celebration calls for. Fight it. Be a non-conformist. LOL Like my friend use to say, "It's too boring to blend in." So the morale of the story is, make your own statement and style. Be the Lady Gaga in your friend's party! LOL

Danielle B. shorts: This is actually not shorts when I bought this plaid patterned steal in Ukay-Ukay. These were pants. I had them altered in my favorite tailor shop. Weeee! It was a steal. Everything (alteration cost) was just around $6 dollars. LOL

Vintage Bag: I've had this for 4 years already. Only cost me $4 dollars for this. Another Ukay-Ukay find. LOL It is mutlifunctional. It can serve as a lappy bag, overnighters, beachbag LOL, and many more. This bag has been a good companion in all my travels lately. LOL Love it! If only I know who the manufaturer of this bag, I'd email/call them and have a new one made for me ASAP!

Photo taken by Yen2x. Location: TBY Gen. Ent Office,  Gen Sales St. Davao City.
Cassette Tape Iphone4 case: OMG! When I saw this the first time, I was like so gaga over it! I mean, I used to collect cassette tape albums  of my favorite artist way back. And now, since we don't use 'em anymore. It's sort of a reminder that vintage is fun and fashionable.

So that's is it. Fashion really is about self-expression. Look at Lady Gaga or Madonna. Blake Lively, Steven Tyler, J.Lo or even Boy Abunda. All of them may or may not appeal to us but they always say something: OWN distinct STYLE. That's why it always bothers me when I see people copying someone else's fashion. However, I don't have a problem with that. LOL As they say, "Imitation is the greatest form of flattery!" But seriously, try to create your own personal style. A style that really speaks and reflects your history/identity/soul/etc and not about what is the hippiest/trendiest look. Just be updated and don't look like you live in the past. LOL Or don't look like you're Lady Gaga or Madonna not unless it's a costume soiree! LOL

xoxo,
Noeh

P.S.
I attached a video of my favorite fashion and music icon, Madonna and her song, VOGUE!! Enjoy!!

LookBook Dilemma

I just recently joined LOOKBOOK.NU and promised to myself to regularly upload new look on a weekly basis. (Actually, I wanted like every other day! But planning an ensemble alone takes up few days of your time. LOL) It's the first week birthday of my LookBook account tomorrow and  still, I've got no new photo to add to my account.

I am like in panic mode atm.

My problem is ----> I don't have a PHOTOGRAPHER to take my portraits!! LOL I have a camera but a person to carry that gadget and take fabulous photos of  myself, NA DA!!!! *I am seriously in BIG trouble! LOL*

My first LOOKBOOK look
Look for less. All ukay-ukay finds. LOL
*except for the shoes, undies and white shirt*

That first LOOKBOOK was taken in Depot Road Bus Stop, Singapore on a Sunday by my good friend, Betchie. We were on our way to Anchorpoint to check on some outlet shops. (Like I said, I love fashion for less but with GREAT STATEMENT! :D)

As my friend took this shot of me waiting for our Bus 175 in Bus Stop Blk9, the idea of the shot was --- casual, out-on-a-day-for-shopping look. LOL Seriously, I never had a chance to shop when I stayed in Singapore.  This is for the main reason that I am on a TIGHT BUDGET! LOL That was sad really. LOL

I call that look, Sunday Tea Party. I literally had Tea Milk with Cheezy French Toast (cheese, butter and Hainanese spread combined! To die for) in Ya Kun Kaya Toast while my friend had mani and pedi.

Milk Tae --> my first. I always refuse to have milk in my tea.
But this changed my mind. I introduced this to my niece/nephews, they love it too!
Cheesy French Toast w/ butter and Hainanese spread. Love it!
Little piece of HEAVEN!
After my tea, I window shopped a bit. Checked on some merchandise on to where can I stretch that few dollars of pocket money. LOL And viola!! I found a novelty shop that hold several fun items. Including memorabilias of Marilyn Monroe. Weeee! That was HEAVEN to me too...

If you think about it, this is just cheap if you collect items
that has Marilyn Monroe on. I love it! Best BUY!!

All the decks scattered for her Instagram treatment. LOL
We also checked Ikea and my friend bought some batteries for our clock and a Vanilla Scented Candle.

SHOPPING PARADISE FOR ALL HOME DECOR NEEDS.. Heaven!!!!

Dinning set ideas
Reading area ideas. LOL

Home office ideas....

I just love yellow rooms and I look fat in this photo. LOL
-----------------------------------

So that it's. I tried to divert my attention to the details of that outfit and what happened during that day.  But it still leads me to the main topic of this entry. ---------> WHAT WILL I POST TOMORROW IN MY LOOKBOOK!!! LOL

xoxo,
Noeh

P.S.
All photos were taken last 27th of Febuary, 2011. This sound funny, but that day was also the first week birthday of my stay there in Singapore. Hmmp. Something's fishy.
